When configuring Campaigns in Jomablue, a number of Sending Rules are available to restrict the audience that will receive that specific Campaign. Sending Rules are configured during Step 6 of the Campaign configuration process - for more information, see this article.

Rules available in Campaign Types

As different Campaign Types have different sets of target audiences, there are different sets of Sending Rules available to them (for example, Registration Reminder Campaigns can only be sent to Billing Email addresses, whereas most other Campaigns can only be sent to registered People).

The available rules for each Campaign Type can be found below:

e-Ticket Send Campaign

  • Limit to people who have not been sent an e-Ticket via the currently selected channel
  • Limit to people who have not had their badge printed
  • Limit to people from specified categories

Registration Reminder Email Campaign

  • Limit to orders with unregistered products

Survey Send Campaign

  • Limit to people who have not completed their survey
  • Limit to people from specified categories

General Campaign

  • Limit to people who have not been sent an e-Ticket via the currently selected channel
  • Limit to people who have not had their badge printed
  • Limit to people who have had their badge printed
  • Limit to people from specified categories
  • Limit to people who have been allocated specified Items
  • Limit to people who ordered from specified Sites

List of Sending Rules

During configuration of a Campaign, the list of Sending Rules appears in the above view. A brief description and use case of each rule can be found below:

  • Limit to people who have not been sent an e-Ticket via the currently selected channel - if enabled, this Campaign will only be sent to People who have not already been sent an e-Ticket via currently selected channel (email or SMS).

    This Sending Rule is typically used in all e-Ticket Campaigns that are scheduled to be sent after an e-Ticket Campaign has already been sent - for example, an initial e-Ticket Send Campaign could be scheduled to be sent a day before your Event, and then a supplementary one (with this Sending Rule enabled) could be sent on the morning of the Event itself. This supplementary Campaign will only send e-Tickets to any registrants who have registered between the initial Campaign, and the second Campaign.
  • Limit to people who have not had their badge printed - if enabled, this Campaign will only be sent to People who have not had their badge printed (i.e. they have not checked in to the event)

    This Sending Rule can be used to send a reminder Campaign to registrants who have not yet checked in to your Event, while not sending that Campaign to attendees who have already checked in.
  • Limit to people who have had their badge printed - if enabled, this Campaign will only be sent to People who have had their badge printed (i.e. they have checked in to the event)

    This Sending Rule can be used to send a Campaign only to people who are already at your event, such as announcements or any other event-related comms, without sending the same Campaign to those who have not checked in
  • Limit to people from specified categories - this Sending Rule allows you to select one or more Categories - and then the Campaign will only be sent to People who belong to one or more of the selected Categories.

    This Sending Rule can be used for any number of Category-related communications
  • Limit to people who have been allocated specified items - this Sending Rule allows you to select one or more Items, and then the Campaign will only be sent to People who are entitled to those Items (see this article for more information on Items). Additionally, the Sending Rule can be tailored to match People who have not yet collected their Item, People who have already collected their Item, or both.

    An example use case for this Sending Rule is sending a Campaign to be send a reminder Campaign to People who are entitled to an Item (like a swag bag) but have not yet collected it
  • Limit to people who ordered from specified sites - this Sending Rule allows you to select one or more Sites, and then the Campaign will only be sent to People who ordered their Product (or selected their Free Registration) from one of the selected Sites.

    This can be used to segment your comms according to which Site a Product or Registration was registered from, without requiring the People to be in separate Categories
  • Limit to people who have not completed their Survey - this Sending Rule allows you to limit the Campaign to only people who have not completed their Survey. This is for use with Survey Campaigns
  • Limit to orders with unregistered Products - this Sending Rule limits the Campaign so it is only sent to the billing email addresses of Orders with one or more unregistered Products. This is for use with Registration Reminder Campaigns
