Triggered Campaigns can be used to send a Campaign to a specific Person based on a real-world interaction or event. These Campaigns can be highly personalised in order to maximise engagement with that Person.
In order to set a Triggered Campaign in Jomablue, you'll need the following:
An appropriate Event General Template (either Email or SMS)
All your People data to be imported into Jomablue (if you are importing from an external registration system)
Generally you should conduct the scheduling of your Campaigns a few days before the event.
In order to ensure your Campaigns are completely accurate, we recommend scheduling them with 2 people - 1 scheduling the Campaign, and 1 watching them and verifying everything is correct
Setting your Triggered Campaign
To set a Triggered Campaign in Jomablue, navigate to Event Configuration > Campaigns. You will see a list of Campaigns that have already been created (if applicable), and a button at the top right hand corner of the page labelled Campaign Builder - click it to open the Campaign Builder and begin scheduling your Triggered Campaign.
1) Select Type
Firstly you'll need to select the Type of Campaign you are creating. Triggered Campaigns must be the General type, so click General and then click Next to continue.
2) Select Channel
Next you'll need to select the Channel you wish to send the Triggered Campaign through. Both Email and SMS are available (assuming the appropriate Template has been created). Select the desired Channel, and then click Next to continue.
3) Select Template
Using the drop-down menu, select the desired Email or SMS Template for this Campaign. You'll see a preview of the Template so you are able to verify you have selected the correct one. Click Next to continue.
4) Send Test
Before continuing, you are required to send a Test Campaign to someone who exists as a Person in the current Event. This step is to validate that your Template is displaying correctly, and all merge tags are merging successfully, so we recommend sending the test to yourself, or to an email address or mobile number to which you have immediate access.
Firstly, click Select Recipient, and a dialog box will appear where you are able to search for a Person to send the test to. Once you have selected a Person you'll see their email address and mobile number (see below):
To send the test, click Send, then click Send in the confirmation dialog box. A Test Campaign will be sent to that email address or mobile number (depending on the channel of the Campaign), and a check box will appear so you can confirm that you have reviewed the test and confirm that the merge tags display actual values, that fallback values have been set, and that the content is production-ready (see below). If the content is not yet production-ready, you must go back and edit your Template to ensure that it is production-ready before continuing.
Once you are satisfied your content is ready, check the box and click Send to continue.
5) Name your Campaign
Next you'll need to give your Campaign a Name. This name is an internal label only (and will not be seen by your Attendees), but it should contain as much information as possible in order for it to be easily identified in your list of Campaigns. Once you have named your Campaign, click Next to continue.
6) Set Sending Rules
One of the most critical stages in setting a Campaign is ensuring that it reaches the correct audience - this is achieved via Sending Rules. Sending Rules are configured using the view seen below:

Once you have configured your Sending Rules, click Next to continue.
The next step in setting a Triggered Campaign is to select the Trigger itself! Click on Send when triggered and then use the drop-down menu to select a Trigger. The available Triggers (and their descriptions and features) can be found here.
By default, a Trigger is made active from the time that you set it until the time that the Trigger is cancelled. However, if you select Between specific dates you can set a start and end date-time, during which the Trigger will be active.
Once you have selected a Trigger, click Next to continue.
8) Review and Confirm
The final step in setting a Triggered Campaign is reviewing the entire Campaign and confirming everything is in order. You'll see a summary of all the Campaign settings like the one below:
Once you have reviewed and confirmed that all details are correct, and you are confident that the Campaign is ready to go, click on Set Trigger. This will set the Triggered Campaign, and you will be done!
